1. Choose a spouse that will sync with your vision in life
2. Choose a spouse that has a "head" over his or her life - someone that they listen to that can correct and advice him or her
3. Choose a spouse that has love and knows what it means to love. Remember that love is not a feeling.

It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.  It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.  Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
