SEX IS A MYSTERY

Have you ever known anything that is said to be a mystery? Now think of you, can you explain how you breath, stay alive, grow can you? That is to say even you are a mystery. A mystery is anything inexplicable, that none is able to understand, the more you try to understand such a thing, the more you get it wrong. So in that case, what do we do?

            In the case of sex, everybody seems to have a say. Let visit the archives and pick some facts that will enhance our study on this subject. In the beginning God had said “for this cause shall a man leaves his & mother and shall be cleaved unto his wife and they two shall be one flesh”. Meaning that first, there is a “CAUSE” for it and inn this act there in “CLEAVING”.

            Jesus came and also spoke the same thing as His father and even added “therefore what God has joined together, let no man put asunder”. Paul too said same and added that “this is a great mystery”

In the book of Ecclesiastes 11:5

Solomon the wisest man who ever lived before Jesus Christ then said, “As thou know not what is the way of the spirit or how bones grow in the womb of her that is with child...” Also in the book of 1 cor. 6:16 Paul still speaking on the subject of sex exclaimed! “What? Ye not that he, which is joined to an harlot is one body? For two saith He, shall be one flesh.”

            These and many more were said in those days but today we seem to be better followers of science. We have forgotten that science is only trying to study God, God does not study science. Science has said a lot about many things that God created (it is true that science is God’s way of teaching us about His works e.g. sex but science can never have the final say on these things, that is why its technologies including the “condom” has not stopped what manufacturers intended well, let’s not deviate, let’s see if sex is truly a mystery.

            Having laid some foundation on the subject of sex, obviously, sex is a spiritual thing the creator of sex (God) is a spirit (john 5:24), He created it for procreation which is another purely spiritual business (Eccl. 11:5), or can you explain how a mere physical act as sex can bring about children that look like the parents, manifest their tendencies and have their same spirit. Of course science has called it “HEREDITY” but this is purely spiritual.

            Aside the bearing of children, sex in the cleaving (Gen. 2:24) of husband & wife, more to the ceremonial (wedding) rite on the wedding day, the cat of sex is meant to join husband and wife as one in a covenant ( a blood covenant) for, your information, there is no way two people are one scientifically and spiritually except by sex (1 cor. 6:16).

In conclusion, the author of ex is a spirit which makes sex spiritual, notwithstanding how, when or where it is done the implications and consequences of sex still stand as what God intended it yet how it works remain: a MYSTERY.
