SECRET OF MARRYING ON TIME
THE
DOULOS SECRET CODE
Sometimes, it is easy to ignore a key to a big door
because we are tempted to compare the size of the key to the size of the door;
but things do not necessarily work that way. The test of wisdom can be seen in
our ability to recognize the solution no matter how simple it may be and to
follow through with it even if that simple solution is expected to solve or end
a lifelong crisis.
The solution Pastor Ndaeyo found seemed quite simple
and easy; in fact, it seemed too simple to solve such a serious problem, but
months later, results proved that he had found am ancient secret code that
could work where prayers and fasting sessions barely had any results. His
church members were regular at the prayer and fasting meetings; they had been
regular for years and yet nothing significant changed. However, months after
using the doulous code, the effect was very impressive.
‘Doulous’ is the Greek word for ‘service’. Service
in God’s kingdom implies sacrificing to make sure that whatever concerns God is
well taken care of. When you do this with the right motive and attitude, God,
in turn makes sure that those things which concern you are handled. This
is a very vital weapon that terminates marital hindrances and delays.
In the Bible, Ruth’s service became a bridge to her God-given
spouse. She forgot about her personal needs and focused on taking care of her
mother-in-law even when what bound them together – her husband – was now gone.
She refused to let Naomi walk alone and chose to sacrifice the rest of her life
to making sure that Naomi was taken care of. It was in the course of her
service to Naomi that she met and married Boaz and some generations later, Ruth
becomes part of the genealogy of Christ.
Another example is that of Zechariah and Elizabeth who
both childless were at old age. While Zechariah stayed in the temple attending
to his priestly duties and serving God earnestly, God sent His Word to them.
This shows that God knows where we should be serving per time and when He wants
to bless us, He sends that blessing to meet us at the place of our
assignment. It also shows that God keeps records of our prayers. Zechariah
was not praying for a child when the angel came to him, he was serving in the
temple; but God had heard his prayers and sent him the answer that day.
God
can choose to answer our prayers at His own time and He can answer it in a way
different from what we expected. You may have prayed for him to move the
mountain but He rather empowered you to fly over it so you can develop wings in
the process. One thing is sure, if you do your part, you should be at peace
because whatever God does and however or whenever He chooses to do, it always
turns out to be the best way to handle the situation.
God also
knows that people are idle in the kingdom and He knows who to bless, and for
what to bless each person.
Scripture also record Rebecca and Zipporah’s
experience at the well where they served their fathers. Rebecca met Abraham’s
eldest servant who took her to Isaac while Zipporah met Moses too at the well.
These men were set to be at that place at that time; if these women had refused
to go out for their duties on those days, they would probably not have married
the men they married. Even if they got to meet and get married to them later,
it only means that they would have had some extra time, probably years, of single-hood added to them for neglecting their place of service.
The
reward of service in the kingdom is not transferable. Reward of service in the kingdom is not conferred on groups but
individuals.
In
the book of Corinthians (1 COR 3:8), the scripture rightly puts it thus: everyone
shall be rewarded according to his labour. You cannot expect to be rewarded by
another person’s labour. (Paraphrased) The quality of your service in
the kingdom of God is very necessary to positioning you for marriage on time
and breaking marital delay.
