Destiny and Career
It is only fitting to align with the words of the great
teacher and author Dr. Myles Monroe that when purpose is not known, abuse is
inevitable. Career choice will be a miserable enterprise if it is done when one
is void of the understanding of his reason for living – purpose. Choice of
career without purpose discovery is an uphill task; shooting one’s self on the
foot and maybe blaming the society for the anomaly. When you choose your career
without knowing your purpose and destiny assignment, it is like putting an
equipment to use without knowing its reason for creation.
The result of such
choice will be frustration and regrets. Have you ever tried to use a comb to
sweep the floor of your room or a broom to comb the hairs on your head? - Think
about that. A career choice that is not in line with a person’s destiny
assignment and purpose in life is like using equipment for another purpose
entirely different for what it was designed for. Peradventure your chosen field
of career is directly opposite the assignment that God created you to fulfill,
you will be like a man trying to fry yam using a kettle. That you are in a
moving train does not mean that the train is headed to your destination. Where
you intend to arrive should inform you of the particular train you should
board. The destination is your
destiny while the train is your career. Board the train wisely.
